Just kind of curious, how so many people have stumbled upon this newsgroup and why you decided to stay.

Some of you were here from the beginning.
Some of you are ex scientologists.
Some of you, (like myself) stumbled upon here by chance and was outraged by what they read and decided to stay.

Anyone care to share?

The Wired article on the battle and the rmgroup led me to subscribe to ars. I had previously participated sparingly in another USENET group. Horrified by what I saw spewing from the keyboards of supposedly religious people, outraged by their attacks on pharmaceuticals which have helped people I know personally. Had previously little interest in $cientology, never read anything by LRH before (but plenty since) coming here. Fascinated by the possibility that an evil (but stupid) organization might be tumbled by fallible human beings, fighting fair, armed with only intelligence, information and the ability to communicate. Delighted at the opportunity to get off some truly putrid puns.
