Be sure to use waterproof marker for the sign :-)
I found 2x3' corrugated plastic for signs at Tap Plastics for $2.75 locally. Completely waterproof, and after I letter the sign, I spray it with clear "Liquid Plastic". I fold the things in half over a stick for signs that hold up to wind, attach them with a staple gun. At $2.75/sign, I can make different signs as the mood strikes me.
