			  BREAMLEA WIND GENERATOR

		      **** FORTHCOMING OPEN DAYS ****

The Alternative Technology Association is conducting open days at the
wind generator on the third Sunday of every month. Everyone is welcome
at the site - see Melways Key Map "E" between Barwon Heads and Torquay.

For those without a Melways, take the Barwon Heads Road out of Geelong
and turn right (south) at Blackrock Road, just near the Geelong Aero
Club airfield (Barwon Heads Airport)

Times are 1pm to 3pm (approx) and events include:

	* Informal talks about the history and operation of the machine.

	* Kite flying - (BYO) - fun for all ages

	* Pinwheel making for the kids (materials provided)

	* Note that the nearest toilets are in Barwon Heads!!

	* The previously advertised climbing tours of the tower have
been abandoned due to pressing safety and insurance considerations.
We are sorry if you missed out, but it is not worth risking injury
or death, and the ATA cannot afford the large amount of safety
equipment that would be required to conduct safe public tours. (We
are happy to report that none of the people who did climb the
tower in January 1996 experienced any mishaps.)

	* We will be trialling a colour video monitoring system from March,
in the hope of allowing visitors to gain some impression of the
experience at the top of the tower.
