The gits are still lurkin' 'n' searchin' this office of ours for any stray copies of Xenu. Two just came in this afternoon, a young woman and man, both in their mid-twenties; both hanging around, slowly prowling the campus for any remaining copies. One of the people here didn't realise who they were and so handed 'em what he thought were the remaining copies. When the woman came in, she asked if there were any more copies -- 'Is that all that's left?' They wanted some to distribute to 'friends and, er, people around campus.' However, our agent quickly twigged that they were no form of genuine article -- the fraudulent and unfriendly demeanour, the Scientology Stare, the ill and tired look. (Jeez, Church, you gotta get people who look convincingly *human*.) Our agent gave them some copies, then got the shits with these people and sicced Security on them. The Security guard apprehended them, retrieved the papers and sent them on their way. We now know these two faces, as do Security. If only I'd been there with my camera ... This was moderately organised; they had a mobile phone. Him: short black curly hair, clean jeans, check shirt, bad skin, stupid and evil expression (a mixture of scared and sneering). Around 5'8" height. Her: again bad skin (with heavy makeup), dressed like a clerk in a lower-end legal firm (beige-pink lightweight suit). Short black straight hair. Around 5'8" in height. Her: southern European complexion (dark eyes); him, a bit lighter. Give these descriptions to Security at *your* workplace. You tried this one, you failed. We know what and who to look out for. 'Catalyst', one of the other papers involved in Xenu, has just published its last edition for the year. Contained within is the Church's reply to the Xenu article, which is the same as what they gave me, which I posted a week ago. (I would be interested to hear from anyone who's seen substantially identical slabs of text elsewhere.) 'Catalyst' set it in Courier with 70% width. The front cover features a little clip of the Xenu picture (as found at http://minyos.xx.rmit.edu.au/Catalyst/xenu/clamman.jpg) and one of the editorials is headed 'Out Tech from a Degraded Being'. Hey, for those who would know: I know one of the stats is column inches of reply times circulation. Is that affected if they also nick copies of the particular edition in question as well?
