The careful twisting of truth by Tony McClelland. McClelland and his motley bunch of desperate fame seekers would like you to believe that there is a conspiracy to block freedom of speech, to harass and quieten critics on the Internet. He would like you to believe this conspiracy, hatched in his Wahroonga home with the help of some of his Internet cronies, was run by an interna- tional religious group. He cites apparent specifics in his case. But a careful and actual study of the facts will show that the Church of Scientology has been a crusader on the Internet, to not only defend freedom of speech but to also defend the copyrights and property of artists and authors around the world. Our actions have been applauded by many who have been abused by cyberspace criminals. What McClelland fails to tell you is that a small number of criminals stole trade secrets and then deliberately published them on the Internet to harrass, ridicule and cause a loss of trade, thus threatening the true freedom of the Internet for all. Despite many reasonable and continued attempts to have these copyright violaters cease their illegal and immoral activities (in the form of discussions, deliberation and offers to not prosecute if they restrained their illegal conduct), they have relentlessly pursued their course of har- rassing activities for their own hidden agenda. What McClelland protests now is the fact that the Church of Scientology, like many other organizations around the world, has said "Enough is enough!" The Church took and won legal actions to stop the unlawful publication and theft of sacred religious scriptures, copyrighted works of the Founder of Scientology. It was supported by Federal Marshals, the FBI and Police in the United States and many other authorities around the world. What McClelland and his cronies are now saying, is that it is wrong to defend one's honor, wrong to defend one's rights and wrong to defend one's own property. Isn't this the most perverted viewpoint of life? Is it wrong to defend yourself against criminality? If you believe in truth and honesty, support the Church of Scientology.
