Just kind of curious, how so many people have stumbled upon this newsgroup and why you decided to stay.

From Bob Penny. I knew Bob through Margery Wakefield (thanks to the Original CAN). I had a bitter taste from Co$ via working on staff at an Applied Scholastics school. I called CAN who also got me in touch with a few others who had worked or been students and had similar experiences. They also gave me Margery's phone number.

Margery is a wonderful woman, very caring and very compassionate. She had been helping others getting out of Co$ or family members who had been hurt by Co$ for quite a while, and without the help of the net. She asked me to help her answer all the mail she was getting while she had the Coalition of Concerned Citizens going. BOY!!! Did that ever give me an eye opener. Letters from all over from people who had been hurt in one way or another by the Co$.

It was then that I realized that Co$ was worse than I even could imagine, and that their abuses were so widespread, though quite the same no matter what part of the country or even some other countries I heard from.

Margery put me in touch with Bob who had a computer. After I got a computer Bob was always telling me, "you need to get connected to the net, you need to get connected to the net". Finally, I got connected to the net :-)

He told me how to get to a.r.s., and here I've been ever since.

I did leave earlier this year after my husband's suicide, but after my ex-Co$ boss attempted to keep me from being hired by a scathing report when called for verification of employment, I realized that as long as a program of vindictiveness was going to be following me around anyway, what the heck, might as well come back. Silly me, thinking that compassion for me might be demonstrated after that tragedy, but no, it was still business as usual.
